Behind the Scenes
Hi. My name is Jay Gaulard and I’m the founder of and primary contributor to IndustryDev. I’ve been blogging since 2006, when I began my very first blog as an outlet to discuss the trials and tribulations I faced as I went about trying to earn my pilot’s license. Since I’ve got many interests, what began as a “flying” blog quickly morphed into a collection of articles that covered home ownership, landscaping, hiking and so much more. Since that time, I’ve written thousands of posts that cover a wide range of topics.
While writing about my life was fun, I decided to shift gears to produce content on a more professional level. Since I’ve been involved with web design and development, as well as photography, since 2001, I launched IndustryDev as the logical step in that direction. Today, I’m publishing approximately two to three posts per week that rival what some of the best authors on the internet release. It isn’t easy, it’s not fast, but I’m meeting the goals I set forth from the beginning – to cover all bases and to give readers what they want.
If you’re an expert in your field, someone who can convey thoughts and ideas with the best of them and if you can write like it’s nobody’s business, I’m interested in hearing from you! Please consider writing for me to help grow our community into a premier resource for design and development alike.
If you’d like to contact me, please visit this page and fill out the form. I’ll get back to you as fast as humanly possible.
On a More Personal Note
When I’m not writing, I enjoy exploring what the great state of Maine has to offer. Since relocating to this part of the country in 2013, I’ve opened my eyes to beauty and recreation I never thought existed. Whenever possible, I’m hiking, four wheeling around our endless miles of logging roads, foraging for fruit and vegetables or practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I’ve included a picture of that last one below.
